Since 2005, the DBU has been awarding fellowships for further qualification in the field of environmental and nature conservation in Germany to young master’s degree and PhD students from Romania.

Important dates

Application deadline: 05.03.2025
Selection interviews: April 2025
Start of the Fellowship: 17.08.2025
Start of the German intensive course: 19.08.2025
Start of further education: 15.09.2025

In recent years, many graduates from different universities in Romania have applied for a fellowship. A total of 73 fellowships have been awarded to date. Many grantees come from engineering, biology, geography, food technology, horticulture, as well as chemistry, horticulture, and law. We would like to explicitly point out that applications from the social and economic sciences are also very welcome.

Professor Dr. Dan Christian Vodnar from the USAMV in Cluj Napoca is the direct contact person for questions on site. He was himself a DBU Fellow in the MOE Fellowship Program in 2008 and is in close contact with the DBU.
