Since 2002, the DBU has been awarding fellowships for further qualification in the field of environmental protection and nature conservation in Germany to young master’s degree and PhD students from Lithuania.

Important dates

Application deadline: 05.03.2025
Selection interviews: April 2025
Start of the Fellowship: 17.08.2025
Start of the German intensive course: 19.08.2025
Start of further education: 15.09.2025

In recent years, many graduates of Lithuanian universities have applied for scholarships. A total of 74 fellowships have been awarded to date. Many grantees come from engineering disciplines, especially environmental sciences, natural sciences such as biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as law, economics, architecture, agriculture, etc.
We would like to explicitly point out that applications from the social and cultural sciences are also very welcome.
