Since 2003, the DBU has been awarding Fellowships for further qualification in the field of environmental protection and nature conservation in Germany to young Master’s degree and PhD students from the Czech Republic.

Important dates

Application deadline: 05.03.2025
Selection interviews: April 2025
Start of the Fellowship: 17.08.2025
Start of the German intensive course: 19.08.2025
Start of further education: 15.09.2025

In recent years, many graduates from various universities in the Czech Republic have applied for a fellowship. A total of 150 scholarships have been awarded to date. Many grantees come from engineering, geography, and earth sciences, but also from agricultural and forestry sciences, land conservation, and biology.

We would like to explicitly point out that applications from social sciences, economics and law are also very welcome.
