The urgency of addressing climate change has highlighted the critical need for inclusive and participatory approaches to climate governance. Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE), endorsed by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), is designed to mobilize diverse stakeholders in climate action. ACE encompasses six key elements: climate change education, public awareness, training, public participation, public access to information, and international cooperation. By fostering these elements, ACE aims to empower all members of society to engage actively in mitigating and adapting to climate change.
This research explores the impact of community participation in climate action through ACE and the role of stakeholder engagement in effective climate governance. It investigates how the principles of ACE can drive behavioral changes and enhance public involvement in climate-related decision-making processes. The study delves into the motivations behind stakeholder engagement, the challenges faced, and the perceived benefits of ACE initiatives.
