With a focus on diversification and agritourism, this study examines the complex relationships between climate change, consequent income insecurity of farmers in Kosovo and their response strategies. The study examines the following main objectives using semi-structured interviews. First, it examines how farmers‘ perspectives on agritourism are influenced by their concerns about climate change. Our observations suggest that agritourism is becoming increasingly important as a possible adaptation strategy. Second, the study examines the motives that lead farmers to engage in agritourism. This shows a nuanced interaction between future plans, expectations for rural development and economic motivations. The study concludes by examining how agritourism influences farmers‘ perceived stress related to climate change. This analysis shows that agritourism engagement can reduce the levels of stress experienced by farmers due to increasing weather uncertainty. Important themes that emerge again and again are „diversification activities“ through which agritourism is becoming more widespread, „location“ which highlights geographical considerations, „motivational factors“ which provide insights into farmers‘ motivations, and „challenges“ which provide a nuanced perspective Provide understanding of the difficulties that arise. With the analysis of further data, this study is expected to provide insightful insights into the agricultural sector’s adaptation methods to climate change, which will be valuable for future research, practice and policy.
