Lebensraum Kirchturm
The NABU project „Lebensraum Kirchturm“ has become an important milestone in cooperation with Eastern European organizations and non-governmental organizations. Finally, the synergy created by the project allowed partner organizations from Eastern European countries to take the initiative to disseminate the accumulated experience. This served as the basis for the opening in October 2016 of the Interreligious Civil and Environmental Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF), which was the product of a project funded by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs „Civil Society and Christian Churches – Conservation of Creation.“ The number of its 37 founding members (representatives of NGOs, churches and religious organizations) is constantly increasing. Under the proposed project, the number of participating organizations from the Eastern Partnership countries will increase to about 60, and the activities of IRCEF will expand to new countries (Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan).
