DBU offers young people excellent training for their future careers. Collection and use of personal data in the application process
Thank you for your interest in the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU). This privacy statement informs you about the handling of your personal data, which the Deutsche Bundesstiftung and its subsidiaries, the Zentrum für Umweltkommunikation gGmbH and DBU Naturerbe GmbH, undertake to comply with.
It is important to us to ensure the highest possible protection of your personal data. All personal data collected and processed by us in the context of an application is protected against unauthorized access and manipulation by technical and organizational measures.
Your data is collected for the application for an employment relationship in the respective division of the DBU and its subsidiaries (see above). The legal basis for this is § 26 para. 1 i. V. m. Para. 8 sentence 2 BDSG.
1. application-related data
This may be general personal data such as your name, contact details or CV, information about your professional qualifications such as school, training and university degrees or certificates, as well as other information that you provide to us in connection with your application. The details and information will be stored together with your name for the duration of the application process.
Your personal data will be deleted after completion of the application process, subject to a retention period of six months, unless longer storage is required due to legal disputes. Likewise, trial work performed and notes prepared by employees involved in the selection process during an interview will also be destroyed.
2. use and disclosure of personal data
We may disclose your personal data within the DBU and its subsidiaries to the employees involved in the selection process, including the works council, insofar as this is permissible within the scope of the purposes set out in section 1. Otherwise, personal data is processed on the basis of order processing agreements in accordance with Article 28 GDPR, including by the BITE applicant management system we use via the ITEBO group of companies.
An automated decision in individual cases within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR does not take place. The decision on your application is not based on automated processing.
There is no intention to transfer your personal data to a third country.
The provision of your personal data is neither required by law nor by contract, nor are you obliged to provide your personal data. However, the provision of personal data is required for an employment relationship with us. This means that if you do not provide us with any personal data in the application, we will not enter into an employment relationship.
If an employment relationship is established between you and us, we may, in accordance with § 26 para. 1 BDSG, we will further process the personal data already received from you for the purposes of the employment relationship if this is necessary for the implementation or termination of the employment relationship or for the exercise or fulfillment of the rights and obligations of the employee representation resulting from a law or a collective agreement, a company or service agreement (collective agreement).
3. your rights
You have the right to request information about your stored personal data at any time. Furthermore, you have the right to demand that your data be corrected and, if necessary, supplemented. You have the right to object at any time to processing based on Article 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR.
You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future and without giving reasons by informing our Head of Human Resources, Ms. Christiane Lückemeyer, at c.lueckemeyer@dbu.de or the Data Protection Officer at the details below of your revocation.
You have the right to request that we delete your personal data. If legal regulations do not permit deletion, your data will be restricted in processing so that they can only be accessed for the purpose of complying with mandatory legal regulations.
4. data security
We have taken extensive technical and operational precautions to protect your data from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Our security procedures are regularly reviewed and adapted to technological progress.
